On Tuesday, May 5th, a couple of lucky members of our staff attended a fantastic evening event put on by our friends at Liberty Wine Merchants and Bridges Restaurant on Granville Island. “The Rosé Revival” is an annual event which raises funds to support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. It was a fantastic event featuring Rosé wines from all over the world. The Rosés that were available to taste encompassed all of the diverse characteristics that rosé wine has to offer. It was fascinating to explore the aromas and tastes of wines from Spain or France and compare them to the rose wines that are produced in our own back yard here in BC. We learned what a wide spectrum of styles can be found in the world of pink wine. Some are dry, while some are fruity and sweet. Some can be musky and complex, where as others are vibrant and maybe even sparkling! With patio season fast approaching we couldn’t help but imagine basking in the sun with a chilled glass of vibrantly pink wine. In addition to the wines poured, the venue added so much to our experience; Bridges offered a space with ample room and gorgeous views of the city while providing food that was paired beautifully with the wine selection. Most importantly, however, this event went beyond the wine tasting and the hors d’oeuvres; it also served as a reminder to live your life fully and appreciate what you have because you never know what tomorrow will bring! It was an honor and a privilege to support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, and we look forward to next year’s event!
Please let me know if this alright with you. Appreciate it!
