Perseus Cabernet Shiraz
Vineyard: The grapes for this wine come from vineyards in the Okanagan and SimilkameenValley.
(Syrah was harvested at Silver Barrel Station overlooking Skaha Lake, Cabernet Franc grapes were coming from Blind Creek vineyard in Cawston, while Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested at N’kameep.)
Blend: Cabernet Shiraz is a blend of Shiraz (48%), Cabernet Sauvignon (42%), and Cabernet Franc (10%).
Taste: A nose of raspberry, blackberry jam, and a hint of mocha blended with black pepper. Soft smooth entry with integrated tannins. Long, anise-tinged finish with raspberries and blackberries on the palate. Pair: Barbequed meats, chorizo sausage, paella, or lamb, or try with soft cheeses.
